Castelli Martinozzi’s Rosso di Montalcino is the perfect complement to roast meats, game and strong cheeses such as pecorino, parmigiano reggiano and those yielding from cattle grazed on Alpine meadows. An excellent entry-level wine from an ancient estate set in stunningly beautiful Tuscan hillsides. It continues to excel above its station with every vintage.
Still, relatively unknown, the wines of Castelli Martinozzi are improving with every vintage. With excellent sited vineyards and the appointment of Paolo Caciorgna to oversee the winemaking process, we expect to see great offerings in future vintages from this estate. And after all, it’s not as if they were bad to start with!
